I found this over at HTC PEDIA . com that suggest they have released WinM 6.5 for the HTC Tilt2.

These are supposedly official ROMS from HTC.

These look like leaked ROMS. Just checked the HTC website and there are no official postings for an upgrade yet.

WWE = World Wide English.

For T-Mobile, use this HTC link: http://www.htc.com/us/faq_detail.aspx?p_id=287&act=faq&cat=0

No upgrades for us in the USA yet. Patience Smiley

head over to the XDA develpoer forums. I have a Vodafone UK mobile and it wouldn't flash with the 6.5 update.

Downloaded the HardSPL flasher from XDA and it worked a treat. Seriously the stock customisation is a million times better than any of the vodafone crap that was on there. That horrible redness was like looking at a pimple on my phone.

The update is ok for US HTC Tilt2 phones unless it's CDMA, then it won't work as these are GSM ROMs

been trying out the official swedish wm6.5 now for a couple of days and here is my judgement atm

first impression wow
the new manila interface is beautiful (ok they could have gone with more serious colors and not the playdo but I still love it), its not that there is so much news in the manila that is revolutionary but more in the way this is what I wanted from the beginning but didnt really realize it.

windows own start menu is now used in manila instead of the manila version the upgrade in this is.....
all apps you install gets into the start  menu wich is quite handy, the negative part is you stil by som really disturbing and twisted reason you still cant reorganize it in a smooth way (atleast not what I found by standard means yet) so when you touch and hold over one of the start menu items the only option I have gotten do you want to move this to the top?
wich isnt very helpful but its still a big improvement since their last start menu wich you can acess aswell by turning of manila and windows standard in your home screen.

the windows standard is quite smooth as a desktop overlay aswell but I still prefer manila.
the windows standard has a smart feauture on the home screen you only have 1 tab and in that tab you have several options wich all are easily accessed with the tip of your finger by either scrolling up or down and choosing whatever you want in that list.

whats in the list you wonder
well not much actually but enough to get you by the day
it seems to contain all the options you had in your classic home menu from 5.x and 6.1 plus sms and 1 or 2 more things

so how is wm6.5 original compared to the wm6.1 in speed comparison
well from the start I didnt feel any difference more then that wm 6.5 is a bit smoother
what I didnt think of then due to I didnt have any apps installed was that it eats moore memory so when starting games or apps they are a bit more slugish wich feels a bit akward.

but when using office/smsing/other normal day to day apps that comes with windows and htc the speed is all ok.

the marketplace lovely little place they got a demo game called meon light wich if you love puzzle games must dl its addictive.
the marketplace works extremely well I already dled half of all the things in there out of curiosity the biggest drawback there is that they dont have to much apps to market in the place but most of the ones I've tried works splendid on the phone.

and the registry in the phone looks the same so most reg hacks made for wm6.1 should work without any problems on the 6.5

now over to a complaing not on wm6.5 thought might be for manila.
lets say you add a friend link him/her to facebook I dont get the add birthday anymore wich isnt much to complain about

no I'm off to bed its 8:47 in the morning and Im starting to hear voices outside my window nn
place questions under this post or start to chat on about anything or something Cool

Mathtew Miller, over at ZDNet, felt that Spb 3.5 is better - calls 6.5 disappointing.

so far I'm really liking the customability of Spb 3.5. It's smooth and gets everything I need done

memory readout for WM6.5 after using Cleanram lvl 3 is
67.10MB w manila active
74.83MB w windows standard shell
83.19MB w windows classic shell nothing active
74.67MB w windows classic all active

this is ofc something that is different for every mobile and user due to differences in choise of active apps and such, most of the time I run with 30MB of free ram wich isnt that much but enough for me to do what I need to/want to do with the phone Cool

thought that could be interesting to know
sorry dont have spb so cant try it with that active as a shell
