Youtube and WiFi Probs on AT&T tilt 2

Hey guys' nice to meet you. New joiner here, but been usin windows mobile/pocket PC devices for the past 7 years since i was 14.

Ok so heres the situation, I believe its this device forsure, though My Touch Pro 2 has been warranty replaced 4 times already.

My data is very slow sometimes at the same location and I've got full bars, I've also noticed that whenever I connect to my home WiFi which is running at 6MBPS, doesnt really make the web on this phone any faster and its the same as usual, pretty weird cause my Touch Pro became much faster when I connected to my Home WiFi.

The other thing is....

I got the YouTube file from the phones WINDOWS directory, and whenever I use YouTube, Most of the time with this device it never loaded any of the vids, as though when I was using the Touch Pro 1, the Vids loaded instantly.

Anybody know whats goin on here? or is this phone just not great with data? and WiFi is faulty.

Oh and also. ATT customer service stinks cause they just lie alot. Ask me if you want to know my experiance.

Alright now im not sure about this so don't run wit it but, i believe Ive read that att capped the tilt 2's wifi down to 2.5mbps or something close to that. There might be a registry hack to fix this if i am correct which when i get back later i will try to track down for you and post back. Also with att's customer service they don't lie they just don't have any knowledge.

Hey hellbound. Thanks for helping me. I played around with Windows registrys alot, but haven't played with Windows mobile though. If I knew how to access it, I'd be able to somehow figure out what to do, And thats pretty lame how ATT has put restrictions on the WiFi. And Youtube is really slow or never downloads any of the vids.

Eh, I did have bad experiance with ATT, Sent me over to their Resolutions side they said they would send me a new HTC tp2 and the representative told me they will call back the next day to request some information. Guess what, they never called back. So I called and the representative told me they show no records of sending me any new phone. How lame and liars.

Ah im sorry to hear about the problems with att's customer service. I geuss ive been lucky, been through quite a few bad phones like the moto razr v3, sony erricson w580i, and last the lg incite.(tilt 2 was a replacement) Anyway on the note of the wifi i know in the past att has asked wifi to be removed from smart phones to encourage people to buy the data plans but now that its required id think they would stop. Ive done some searching and ive found a couple people complaining about the wifi speads and mentioning a cap but no one offring up a solution or a hack to fix anything. Id try doing some registry hacking myself but this being only my second smart phone i dont have much experience in this type of thing and am a little scared of bricking it.

Yea customer service does suck with me and the LG Incite is a horrible phone. I feel you about the bricking part, registry is like the sould of a computer. Don't really wanna mess with it unless you know what your doing.

Lol yea in contrast to the tilt 2 the incite just fails but for my first windows mobile device and smartphone it feels kind of like my first car or something
