Messed up network settings. Connection error on touchflo3d weather & opera

I have messed with my network settings too much and am trying to get the touchflo weather and Opera working again.

My connections are set to MEDIA NET
i can use IE & Skyfire and they both work fine connecting to the web.
Opera gives me a "could not find proxy server" error
the Weather app on the touchflo 3d gives me a "Connection error"

I dont know what the DISABLE PROXY and RESTORE PROXY cabs do when click on them.

I also have ADVANCED CONFIG TOOL installed to get to more settings.

any help would be appreciated!
