Hi everyone!! I am new here, I got my HTC Touch pro2 before a week or so. . I am currently living in Kuwait, they had 2 GSM network operators Zain & Wataniya. I had a line from Zain everything worked well. A new company named " Viva" however, emerged with incredible offers and I got to choose a number I really wanted. So I switched operators and discovered to my horror that the HTC touch_pro isn't compliant with the new company's settings!!! I can receive and make calls but I can't send an sms ! it keeps telling me " the phone is not ready wait 15 seconds and try again"


oh ya one more thing, whenever i try to enter my phone settings it says operation not ready wait 15 seconds

Don't know too much about how phones work overseas (sim cards), but over here they also need to program their server specific identifiers by dialing ##778# and entering the phone's code to edit.

I saw your post over on the other forum and not much had come of it.

If the phone is not programable (not ready, wait 15 seconds), try a hard reset.

If that doesn't work, hopefully you can go to a tech for Viva and he might know a bit more.

I would double check the sms central number aswell Cool

it might be server problem aswell, do you know if anyone else using the carrier has any problems with smsing?

If it works on another phone check their sms settings and copy them to the extent its possible Cool

try downloading a hotfix from the HTC support site. might work.
