yes, from what I read, the upgrade should hit before the year is out.

The upgrade is free, and you will have to hard reset. So before you do it, you need to backup everything. Also, Microsoft has officially confirmed 6.5 to be released on October 6. It will also release Marketplace and MyPhone on the same day.

Here's hoping it won't take too long for the carriers to put out the ROMs with the 6.5

I imagine they built it into the ROM, but if not - they're easy enough to download.

that's because the cook put it in there. It was a barebones version. It was optimized to save space and get speed. Nothing was added, but some things were taken out. So the cook didn't include it.

Hey guys, it's been only a couple of days since I received my TP2, and I can't stop using it! Everything I needed is working perfectly, and as a polyglot, the migration from Symbian is as easy as switching from a language to another. My question: Every source indicates the upgrade possibility from 6.1 to 6.5, but always related to carrier's contribution on the ROM. I live in Canada and I use an unlocked TP2 (directly from Taiwan) which my carrier doesn't offer. Will there be an upgrade for unlocked TP2 as well? Thanks in advance. Poly7373 ___Best source of information about HTC Tilt2, thanks to all of you guys!
