Hello everyone. I am another Sprint user anxiously awaiting mid September(fingers crossed) I am new to the winmo platform and hope to get ahead of the curve by taking in some of your knowledge. Has anyone here made the switch from Palm OS (garnet) to Winmo. If so how difficult was it. Anyway thanks for reading this far. Later.

I heard September 3rd, not mid-September.  Also anxiously waiting the Sprint release.  I have moved from a Palm Treo, but it was the 750 which ran windows mobile.  Ive never used palm os, but Ill try to help in any way.

I've used a Dell Axim which was Winmo 5 but flashed it to 6.1. I've been very happy with it for the 6-7 years I've owned it. I'm going to be very glad to get everything into one box, however - no more cell phone to schlep around as well (Instinct user right now).

Welcome to the forum tjat!

This is a good place to start getting familiar with the upcoming gem of a phone. Just look around, there's plenty to read and learn.

Been a windows mobile user before it was called windows mobile, before they had phones in the pda's. So, no experience with palm on my part either.

I did have a Visor Pro and then a Palm T-3 before getting the Axim. I found the transition for most things very easy and those things that were different weren't too hard to learn. Having hard memory so as not to lose everything if the battery died (as well as a user-replaceable battery) were also icing on the cake.

I have seen Sept. 3rd and Sept. 8th, so I tell myself mid-sept. so I won't be disappointed if it is the latter. Anyway thanks for the welcome I look foreward to learning the OS and device with a little help for alltouchpro2. Smiley
