so i picked up my device the other day and the time read 6:31. i looked at the clock in the room and it was 7:06. i noticed the device had no signal and was searching. it picked up signal as i was looking at it and the clock instantly chaged to 7:06.

im wondering does the clock only work while the device has signal? thats not a very comforting thought. if you have an alarm set and happen to be somewhere with no signal at the time it should go off i guess you're out of luck.

note- this was the clock display in tf3d. i have yet to try this with touchflo turned off. i'll check it out next time i go thru a known dead zone.

sometimes the clock takes a couple of seconds to update so it says the last time that was shown when you where in the clock bar
it was propably just coinsidence that the phone adjusted the time and got a signal again at the same screen refresh

Ya.  Happens to me all the time.  I open my cell phone and it shows it is like 1 hour before and then switches to the current time.  It does take some time to reset it.  Also, the clock doesn't change minutes directly when the second strikes.

The only connection you need for the clock is when it updates it with the network time.  This is how it automatically adjusts when you go into a different timezone.

Do you keep apps running in the background when you lock your device?  Cause if you do it would cause a delay.  Some phones could be fast enough where it doesn't have a noticeable delay if no apps are open.

Also, my clock that delays is the one in S2U2.  That might be the reason cause it inst the system clock.

i dont keep apps running or lock the device.
so i'm assuming there is a difference between the touchflo display clock and the "system clock". still worried about missing alarms because i set them with the touchflo clock on the home screen.

I think that the TF3D clock checks against the system clock but cant prove it.
on the missing alarms subject, do you by any chanse have multiple alarms going of at the same time
I have that and just noticed this morning that they block each other out so much for my backup wakeup system haha.
set the alarm in ft3d alarm settings then a week ago I started with the hassle to insert my working hours in the calender wich I also set to the same time as the other clock to remind me that I had to really run to work now unless I want to be late... obviously that wasnt my brightest idea Ive had cause none of them are heard now haha

but if I turn of 1 of the alarms it works perfectly again Cool
just a thought atleast

You shouldn't worry about the alarms being late, because they are set using something similar as the "at" function on cmd.  That uses the system clock which is accurate to the second.
