I have turned off Phone, WiFi etc. but I am USB linked to an internet connected PC. I can brows the web using Opera on the TP2, but cannot get the RSS app to connect to the web.

Is there a way to allow RSS to use USB connection?

How do you share your computers internet connection with your phone?  I have tried to figure that out for years, but couldn't.  I tried setting up a PAN network, but the just connects the computer to the cell phones internet.

I did absolutely nothing! Just turned OFF everything except ActiveSync over USB and started the Opera browser. It took a long time to start (minutes) but it did in the end. It was more of an experiment than anything useful.

one way to do it:
use either Outlook or Windows Live Mail on you PC.
Subscribe to the RSS feeds of your choosing.

In ActiveSync select to sync the mail / folders.

On your phone:
in the inbox screen of your hotmail / outlook mail account, select Menu / Tools / Manage Folders.
Check to sync RSS feeds.

That should do it.
